Graduation Party With A Hog Roast In Laughton

Yesterday we catered for a graduation party, set in an extravagant house in Sussex; a large gazebo was set up outside in the large back garden to protect us from the none-existent rain. As per usual we arrived at the residence within plenty of time for us to cook the food before the eating time. The hosts, who threw the party for their twenty one year old daughter, opted for a casual buffet, which included our delightful, spit roasted turkey, freshly prepared salad and new potatoes and of course there had to be a hog roast in Laughton too!

We were lucky enough with the weather that we knew it was going to be a good day from the moment we started preparing the delicious food and meats; a few guests started to arrive as we were cooking, they were there to help the hosts set up for the evening but the mouth-watering smells lured them all outside. Our team were all more than happy to chat as they worked, telling the guests about their food, what others have said about how it tastes and showing them how they cook it to perfection every time.

When it came time for the evening event our team were all ready as guests started arriving to celebrate this achievement; everyone’s eyes were on our gazebo area as they started getting hungry and excited for the buffet. Everyone was eager to be first to the table when the food was all set out, the guest of honour had the first taste and assured the rest of the guests that the hog roast in Laughton was as good as it looked and smelt.

We’ve found at our events, that the guests are more relaxed and happy at informal buffets and today was no different, with everybody enjoying himself or herself in the evening sun. It never fails to pride us when we see people enjoying our food, and there was something particularly delightful about tonight. We saw guests coming back to the buffet table for second, third and even fourth helpings, with so many stopping to tell us how tender the meat was and how delicious the hog roast in Laughton was.

At the end of the day we all smiled to ourselves when we saw the familiar scene of happy guests and empty plates, we cleared away so as to let everybody enjoy themselves properly. When we left we made sure to say congratulations to the guest of honour and goodbye to the people who gave us such wonderful compliments. Another successful party pulled off.
