Hog Roast Uckfield Catering for a Maternity Leave Farewell Party!

It wasn’t going to be goodbye forever, but Claire’s workmates wanted to give her a special send-off nonetheless on her last day before she went on maternity leave. They wanted to have the party at work and needed a superior mobile catering company who could provide some great food on-site and who were able to cater for diverse dietary needs. This is of course exactly what Hog Roast Uckfield offers and Clare’s workmates knew we would provide the kind of food that Clare loves whilst also catering effectively for the vegetarian and gluten-intolerant members of the team!

Hog Roast UckfieldWe were asked to provide some of our awesome slow roasted pork served with our signature crispy crackling and homemade apple sauce, as well as some tangy feta and grilled veggie skewers, an array of side salads including an Italian-inspired tomato and basil, Caesar salad and cous cous, all served with bread rolls and wraps, including gluten free alternatives.

We arrived at Clare’s workplace bright and early in the morning so that we had plenty of time to freshly prepare all of the dishes from scratch using our high quality locally sourced ingredients. Whilst our on-site chef was tending to the meat as it roasted slowly and delicately over several hours, Hog Roast Uckfield’s intrepid catering assistant was hard at work making all of the delicious side salads and vegetarian options, all ready to be served to a very surprised Clare and the rest of her workmates at 1pm!

The mum to be was obviously very touched with the amount of effort her friends and colleagues had gone to make sure her last day at work for a year was a very memorable one and for her, the food was the icing on the cake! There were a few tears as she was inundated with flowers and cards but overall, she had a lovely lunch and was looking forward to a well-earned break before the baby arrived.

The Hog Roast Uckfield team are glad Clare had such a lovely last day and she enjoyed the food so much, and we wish her and her new baby all the best!
