Nothing captures the spirit of a British summer quite like a garden party, and last weekend’s celebration in Horsham was a perfect example. Hosted by our lovely client Kathryn, the event was held for 80 guests in her stunning private garden, and Spitting Pig Sussex was proud to provide the catering for the occasion.
Catering Manager Marco and the team were on hand to deliver our popular Hog Roast a feast fit for summer celebrations. The centrepiece, as always, was a perfectly roasted hog, slow-cooked on site to ensure maximum flavour, tender meat, and irresistibly crispy crackling. The sight and smell alone had guests gathering round in anticipation!
But it wasn’t just the meat that had everyone raving. Guests were treated to a spread of complementary sides, including both sweet and traditional fries, which proved to be a huge hit. We also added a classic crowd-pleaser to the menu – our succulent sausages – served fresh and sizzling.
Kathryn’s party was inclusive and thoughtfully planned, so we made sure to cater for all dietary preferences. Guests could choose between delicious vegetarian and vegan options like grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers or our flavour-packed BBQ pulled jackfruit. We also provided gluten-free rolls, so no one missed out on the full hog roast experience.
All meals were served on eco-friendly wooden bamboo crockery with matching cutlery – adding a rustic charm that suited the garden setting perfectly. The overall vibe was relaxed, joyful, and full of sunshine, with guests mingling, eating, and enjoying the warm hospitality that Spitting Pig Sussex is known for.
From start to finish, the afternoon was a seamless success, and it was an absolute pleasure to be part of such a special celebration.
