Hog Roast Billinghurst – Rustic Setting and Rustic Dining for a Special Wedding Event

One of the unique selling points of our signature hog roast is its rustic charm. The hog roast of our name dates back centuries and has been a part of events ever since. All we’ve done at Hog Roast Billinghurst is to update the cooking method ever so slightly so that it is even more feasible for the modern event, but be rest assured that the rustic charm, the tradition, and all of the spectacle, all still remain!

With rustic dining like this it is great when we can pair our dining with a rustic setting. The Hog Roast Billinghurst team had the opportunity to do just so this past week as we joined the lovely Matt and Amanda for their wedding at the incredible Rumbolds Farm right here in West Sussex! Rumbolds was just the perfect venue for what was a perfect day as its 16th century style charm and aesthetic set a wonderful backdrop to an incredible celebration of love and matrimony. With dining conducted in a wonderfully converted barn, photos available outside with the incredible Sussex country views all around, you really could not have asked for more from the day.

Except, perhaps, even more extra portions from the Hog Roast Billinghurst team as our southern slow roast dining proved immensely popular with each and every guest in attendance – as well as our happy couple, Matt and Amanda! Our southern slow roast was just perfect served up in this 16th century barn. It’s an older style of cooking that comes packed with plenty of heat and flavour. Guests found plenty in our Texan style beef brisket, BBQ pork butt, and our Cajun spiced rotisserie cooked chickens. Paired with cooling Greek salad, creamy mac and cheese, and a mix of regular and sweet potato fries, it was a feast that left guests wanting even more – even though there was plenty to begin with!

For those that stuck around to the evening, they got their wish. Hog Roast Billinghurst provided one more evening buffet service for the party-going evening guests with delicious and comforting sausage baps. A perfect capper to a perfect day for Matt and Amanda’s wedding!
