We like to think we’re old hats at this by now with over 20 years together as a company, but Hog Roast Guesting holds nothing compared to the 50-year relationship of our valued customers George and Dawn who celebrated their Golden Year in style with us this year. This one actually came to us from George alone who was looking to surprise his dear wife with all their sons, daughters, grandkids, and friends in attendance for a grand party and feast. When we heard of their 50 yearlong loving relationship together we were of course more than happy to oblige, especially since we already knew the iconic couple from having served them quite a few times now, and knowing that Dawn is particularly fond of the way Our Catering Manager serves up the pulled pork rolls to her perfect liking.
And so we got to work. George took dear Dawn out on a walk early in the day to some of her favourite spots around town while we and the rest of the family got to work setting up the party back home. We had the grill on the go early to ensure we could get those perfect pulled pork portions out to Dawn as soon as she arrived while the grandkids of the family had a delight running around putting balloons everywhere and livening up the garden and house. The surprise went exactly as intended and the ensuing party was an excellent celebration of the lives of these two wonder lovers. We can only aspire to have as wonderful and long a relationship as George and Dawn who have been through it all in supporting each other.
We’re delighted here of course at Hog Roast Guesting to have shared in even a small part of their story, and quite honestly if Hog Roast Guesting is still to be here at our 50th year we hope to have as wondrous a golden celebration as them! We’re still a ways off that golden 50, but we’ll keep trucking until we get there.
