The Delicious Southern Slow Roast Menu For 50 Hungry Guests

IMG_4174Here at Hog Roast Crawley, we are renowned for the gorgeous hog and spit roasts that we slowly cook for our customers, but it may well interest you to know that we can make so much more for you and your guests too if needed. We have all kinds of menus for differing tastes and dietary needs, as we go the extra mile to ensure everyone can enjoy our food. Whether you’re planning a milestone birthday party, your wedding meal or a corporate function, or anything else that you can think of, we offer so much variety that you’ll feel spoilt for choice.

One of our popular menus is the Private Party Menu 2, otherwise known as our Southern Slow Roast Menu, which gives you plenty of meat and side dishes and even a veggie choice included. You get three marinated meats, which we roast low and slow, from barbecued pork butt, Texan brisket beef, Cajun chicken, Creole lamb and sticky pork ribs, as well as three tasty sauces (in addition to our usual condiments). You also get four accompanying dishes from homemade coleslaw, a Greek salad, a green leaf salad, corn on the cob, mac and cheese, baked potatoes and sweet potato wedges. For vegetarians, a dish like our grilled vegetable and halloumi wraps with tzatziki sauce will hit the spot, and all guests can enjoy the fresh bread rolls and wraps that we bring along. IMG_4171 For an event that we catered recently, at a private home in Edenbridge, Julie asked us for our Southern Slow Roast Menu, choosing our chicken, ribs and barbecued pork for the meaty options and corn cobettes, wedges, two salads and veggie skewers for 50 to 60 guests. There would certainly be plenty to eat on the day.

Our Hog Roast Crawley chef Julie and her team arrived at the house hours before serving the food, to start cooking the meat dishes first. Before we knew it, it was 8.30pm, so we put the gazebo fairy lights on as it was time to serve lots of lovely food.
