Hog Roast Chiddingfold Had A Great Day Out At Birdworld

At Hog Roast Chiddingfold, our team are always willing to go to great lengths to accommodate the unique needs of our customers and clients and ensure that their events turn out just the way they’d planned, which also means that when the occasion calls for it, we’re more than happy to travel a little further afield, too. On that note, we can’t wait to tell you all about one of our more recent adventures, which saw our team head in the direction of Farnham to cater for a staff gathering at the one and only Birdworld!

It might have taken us over two hours to get to, but boy, was it worth it! Home to over 2,000 animals, including a wide variety of bird species, pigs, reindeer, rabbits, sheep, and so much more, the 26-acre park was buzzing with life from every direction. Mark, who had been the one to arrange the booking with us, greeted our team at the gate and led them on a private tour of the park, allowing everyone to see even the most endangered bird species up close. It was a truly magical experience and was a great reminder of why working at Hog Roast Chiddingfold is so much fun!

Hog Roast ChiddingfoldFollowing the morning’s excitement, it was time to get down to the real reason our team was there. So, Mark led our crew back to the far corner of the park, where, directed by our catering manager, Adam, everyone quickly began working on preparing the Classic Hog Roast Menu for all 45 members of staff. From the cooking location, our team could hear the birds chirping and squawking, which made for a brilliant atmosphere.

By 4:30pm, all of the Birdworld staff had arrived, and right on queue, Hog Roast Chiddingfold began serving them delicious hog roast rolls, complete with stuffing, crackling, pulled pork and applesauce, with mixed salad and coleslaw accompaniments. Instead of the sumptuous pork option, non-meat-eaters were treated to our flavoursome grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers with tzatziki dip and flatbreads, which were so tasty, the meat-lovers couldn’t resist giving them a go!
