With Fiona’s 50th birthday just around the corner, her daughter Sam recently reached out to Hog Roast Crabtree to arrange catering for her surprise party. Sam told Fiona that she has arranged for the two of them to enjoy a meal out together for her 50th birthday when Sam has actually arranged a surprise party and invited 70 of Fiona’s friends, colleagues, and family members! The party is set to take place at their family home, which will have a marquee in the garden to accommodate the guests. There will be plenty of music and space to dance, as well as a delicious meal served by Hog Roast Crabtree. Our catering manager Adam has been hired to serve a classic hog roast for the party since this is the menu that is fastest to serve to a line of hungry partygoers!
When the day of the party arrived, Adam and the Hog Roast Crabtree team arrived at the family home in Sussex and began preparing the catering. We began by roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection and packed full of natural juices. Once ready, it was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. As well as the rolls, we also served homemade chips and seasonal vegetables, creating a tasty and varied evening meal. It was so great to see Fiona’s reaction when she walked into her surprise party and saw all of the people in her life there to celebrate with her!
