With the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations at the forefront of the nation’s mind and Bridgerton topping the charts as one of Netflix’s most-watched television series, the UK’s fascination and interest in royalty have spiked recently, particularly among the younger generations, which is what motivated Ciara to host a royalcore themed party for her 18th birthday.
Like most people her age, Ciara couldn’t wait to turn 18 and enjoy all of the freedoms, perks and privileges that come with young adulthood. So she was keen to organise an unforgettable party that reflected the magnitude of the date – and she was glad that her parents were very supportive of her plans!
Her mum and dad had graciously agreed to let her use their spacious home for the Bridgerton-esque event. The only condition was that Ciara had to take charge of organising the entire affair herself. The good news is that she found Hog Roast Fairlight early in the planning process, and with the help of our catering manager, Adam, Ciara found that putting together a party wasn’t nearly as difficult as she thought it might be!
With Hog Roast Fairlight handling the food for all 100 guests and supplying the dining furniture and marquee, Ciara’s only responsibility was to send out invites, source decorations and secure a birthday cake.
When Adam and the team arrived at Ciara’s family home on the day of her party, they were led through to the huge back garden, which was bursting with colour from all of the pastel-coloured flowers that the birthday girl had ordered for the party. Some of these formed an archway for guests to take photos under, while others were set aside to be used as decoration on the dining tables.
With no time to waste, our team lept into action and working quickly and efficiently, they managed to rustle up a feast fit for royalty, right on time for the guests’ arrival. The formal banquet, which included five tasty canapes, spit-roasted English lamb and free-range chicken with chipolata sausages, BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls, side salads, coleslaw and buttered new potatoes, followed by vacherins of strawberries with passionfruit cream and summer pudding for dessert, went down a storm with Ciara and her guests.
The birthday girl couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable birthday, and she and her guests were delighted with Hog Roast Fairlight’s service.
