At Hog Roast Ford most of us have swapped the dancing shoes for the aprons these days, but that doesn’t seem to have been the case for our recent guests, Steven and Hannah Bradley, who called us up to provide catering to their most recent event. Having been married for 35 years Steven and Hannah decided it may be worth renewing their vows, one to reaffirm their lifelong commitment to each other, and two, and more importantly, just to make more of an event out of their anniversary and be able to pull in friends, family, and great catering with Hog Roast Ford to up the celebration!
As part of the vow renewal Steven and Hannah wanted to recreate their “first dance” from 35 years ago, and though they might not be quite as spritely as they once were you certainly wouldn’t have been able to tell with the moves the loving pair were showing off! What better a way to reward yourself for such a dance than with a great dinner immediately following from Hog Roast Ford!
Steven and Hannah have been with us a couple of times, and so they knew that our catering team would be the perfect choice to deliver a 3-course menu full of style and pizzazz! It might not quite have been a wedding officially, but it still felt right to deliver the pair one of our wedding packages for their event. This means guests enjoyed a drinks and canapes service before the dinner and the dance (good fuel for Steven to get his dancing skates on, he told us!). Our roasted duck, mini pizzas, pan seared beef fillet, halloumi and tomato crostini, and chicken liver parfait certainly did the job.
After the dance had concluded guests all took to their seats and starters of Scottish salmon or homemade potato and leek soup were served to tables by our service team. In the meantime our chefs carved up the hog and lamb roasts in time for plating along with roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, sage and onion stuffing, fresh coleslaw, and a selection of seasonal leaves. Plenty food for all and yet still many simply couldn’t turn away our delicious sticky toffee pudding dessert too!
