Hog Roast Pulborough – So Much More Than Just Hog Roasts 

When Freddie asked Hog Roast Pulborough to cater a private party at a local rugby club, he was very surprised by the choice and variety that we offer to our customers and their guests. Having initially thought that we only cook hog roasts (after all, they are a part of our name!) Freddie had a look at our many possibilities and decided that one of our other menus might well be an even better decision for this particular special occasion, instead of a centrepiece hog roast, and that was our Southern Slow Roast, also known as our Private Party Menu 2.

Hog Roast PulboroughOur amazing Hog Roast Pulborough Southern Slow Roast Menu is an excellent way to please various personal tastes, as you get to choose three marinated meat dishes from a possible five, and there’s even an alternative main dish for vegetarians if needed. You also get to choose four hot or cold sides from a possible seven, and they are all suitable for vegetarians too. Freddie decided that this menu would be the perfect choice for this mix of carnivore and veggie guests, and he decided on us serving mains of whole-roasted chickens with Cajun spice, sticky pork ribs that fall of the bone and spicy Creole lamb, as well as grilled halloumi and vegetable wraps, served with Tzatziki sauce. For the sides, he opted for a mix of hot and cold ones, including mac and cheese, spicy sweet potato wedges, corn cobettes and our homemade coleslaw.

It came around to the day of the party yesterday, and with us due to serve mid-afternoon, our team of Hog Roast Pulborough experts arrived in the morning to set up our equipment and get the marinated meats sizzling away for several hours. We watched over them as they cooked, slowly but surely, and then later in the day it was time to freshly prepare and cook the garden-fresh mushrooms, courgette, peppers, tomatoes, red onion and halloumi for the wraps, as well as the wedges, mac and cheese and corn cobettes, and make our own version of coleslaw. By 3pm, we had a lovely feast prepared for the sixty guests and Freddie knew he’d made the right decision with this menu.
