At Hog Roast Tonbridge we believe in turning every happy moment into a cause for celebration and over the years our team have catered for a number of different events from traditional birthday parties and weddings to the increasingly popular gender reveal functions and baby showers. With so much excitement surrounding the arrival of a new family member, it’s no surprise that people have been coming up with fun and interesting new ways to cherish their journey into parenthood and just last weekend, our catering team were invited to help Maisie and James celebrate their highly anticipated baby shower!
After first seeing those two red lines, Maisie’s mind was filled with plans for the future starting with the all-important events that come hand-in-hand with pregnancy milestones. Having already hosted the gender reveal party months before where it was announced that the couple were expecting a bouncing baby boy, the soon-to-be-parents were eager to bring their friends and family together once again for a gift-giving event where they would be treated to our famous classic hog roast menu.
Thanks to Hog Roast Tonbridge, Maisie and James were able to relax and enjoy the run-up to their event without stressing over the dietary requirements of their 75 guests, sourcing enough crockery and cutlery, and of course: cooking! With the guests expected to arrive at the couples home at 3 pm, the catering crew showed up bright and early to ensure themselves plenty of time to cook up a feast of whole slow roasted pig with savoury stuffing, crispy crackling and pulled pork as well as the vegetarian and vegan-friendly alternatives of grilled vegetable skewers with optionable haloumi.
The food was definitely the highlight of the event and as guests arrived to celebrate, they were instantly drawn to the delicious scents coming from the succulent meat and unable to resist getting stuck in to the buffet, they each grabbed a plate and piled it high with generous helpings of the food on offer. Those following plant-based diets were also excited to try the colourful skewers that Hog Roast Tonbridge had created which paired perfectly with the inclusive side options of freshly tossed salads and gluten-free rolls.
