A Birthday Hog Roast Fairlight Lunch

With Hog Roast Fairlight catering, we aim to not only meet your expectations but exceed them, and one of the ways in which we do so is by providing plenty of choice and variety with the tasty, fresh food that we can make for you. While hog roasts are understandably a part of our name, we offer so much more too, including spit-roasted and marinated meaty options, special standalone menus like our Southern Slow Roast and Loaded Fries, options to cater for dietary needs and even multi-course possibilities so that you can wow your guests with a feast instead if preferred. With starters, sides, canapés and desserts, we really do have something for everyone.

Hog Roast FairlightNevertheless, sometimes our Hog Roast Fairlight customers decide on a simple albeit delicious main hog roast centrepiece to be served as either pigs in buns (which is our version of hog roast rolls) or together with seasonal vegetables, potatoes and all the trimmings that you know and love, and we can easily do that too. On Saturday afternoon, one of our customers decided to choose just that for her son’s 21st birthday lunch – one of our traditional roasts, to be freshly prepared on the day, cooked slowly for hours on end and then made into piles of yummy pigs in buns, in order to satisfy the hunger of thirty guests.

On the morning of the milestone birthday meal, our Hog Roast Fairlight chef and catering assistants headed to the venue, a local hotel, where we set up our trusty hog roast machine and the rest of our equipment outside. It was due to rain but we took along gazebos to cook and eat underneath, and before long, after preparing the meat with plenty of water and lots of salt, the hog was sizzling away, filling the surroundings with amazing aromas.

Later in the day, our team got on with preparing the rest of the ingredients, by making our lovely stuffing, dishing up our scrumptious apple sauce, slicing the bread rolls and then finally carving the medium-sized hog once it had rested a short while and by 2pm, lunch was served.
